Spring is on the way for us in the Midwest, the fortunate Mr. Tazz Hernandez has been hard at work in the warmer spots scouting some bad ass new riders and putting together these edits. First of himself and second of the Newest Standard Team Member Larry Clack. Look for big things in 2010!

Here’s the newest “Spoke” segment from Fuel TV starring Jeff Klugiewicz.
Speak For Yourself: Isaac Lesser from Mike King on Vimeo.
This is the very first of the FFWD web series of ‘Speak For Yourself’ (S4Y).
S4Y is a totally unscripted interview, none of the typical ‘BMX questions’ everyone is so bored of hearing;
The idea is to sit a rider down infront of a camera, and just have a conversation with a bunch of friends with the aim of really getting the best out of someone.
Over the coming months FFWD will be doing several more of these interviews, with some highly recognisable names from within the BMX industry.
First up, is Mankind, ZEAL and Rockstar’s Isaac Lesser, who in the last year, has made a strong name for himself, not only for being the friendliest guy in the UK BMX scene, but for his undeniable talent on a BMX.
Isaac got second place last year at the ‘Simpel Summer Session’ to Daniel Dhers, and is the only rider doing consistent barspin to hang 5’s.
We shot this on our final night in Estonia for the ‘Simpel Session’, just before we went to the after party, maybe this wasn’t the best of times to shoot an interview, but here’s a little insight into the mind of Isaac Lesser, as he gets in a few drinks…
Larry is the newest member of the Sbc crew in the uk and is about to go under the knife for a knee op. He ruptured his ACL. All the best buddy.

So, as most of you are aware, a few of us took the trip out to the Simpel Session this weekend… And what an absolute treat it was! No one reading this really needs me to tell you how crazy the riding was, either because you watched it live or you are about to watch the highlights video below, so I’ll spare you of that.
The contest itself was alot of fun, there was a great deal more spent sitting around watching compared to most other contests, but everyone had an awesome time, drank gracious amounts of alcohol and did at least one thing we regret.
I’m not good with stories or anything like that, so i’ll just leave you with a few points/quotes/things that made me laugh or just things that stick in my head that you may enjoy:
- Isaac asking a complete stranger when his ‘dolmio day’ was
- hiding Ginge’s passport untill we were about to get on the plane
- Billy and Meat having a wet toilet paper battle in their own room
- Isaac breaking a picture and then hiding it in the roof above two tiles which they also broke, meaning that when they replace the tiles, someones going to get a face full of glass… Definitely didn’t think that one through!
- watching a programme about a 16 year old kid with a baby whos name was ‘Farrah…’ Essex joke maybe?
- ‘Can I have some chips and curry sauce?’ ‘errmmm, this is a police station…’
- Josh belly flopping into 3 feet of snow when it was -10c outside
- ‘clarrot EVERYWHEEERE’
- accidently punching Diego Canina in the face
- half whips and half flips
- Jason Phelan jumping off a balcony into a crowd
- Ryan Sheckler is a tool
- Drew bezanson is unbelievable..
- ‘Rap battles’
- James Bruza knocking himself out on a 180 ET!!!!!!
- James Bruza being left in Estonia due to losing his passport
- myself and josh filling Isaacs bathroom with sardines
- Building Isaacs bike back up while he was in the shower on the last night when we were just about to go out
- Sean Lafferty
- ‘you have to pay another 300 if you want her in your room,’ ‘EXCUSE ME?! Are you high?!’ ‘I’m sorry sir??’
- Easyjet losing Josh’s bag
- Aloe Vera drink
- 500EK fine for riding your bike in the corridoor
- Dardont hrowing a jar of peanut butter through the wall.. ‘it’s the power of peanut butter bro..’
- toothpaste in the beer bong
- footjam on a round rail out of a 10 foot quarter pipe
- ‘TB’ = Travel Boner
That’s about all I can think of for now, so check out some Iphone snaps below followed by the FFWDBMX highlights video!

Meat hates travelling, we like to make things easier for him.

Germanys Michael Steingraeber has decided to part ways with long time bike sponsor Dragonfly to join team Mankind.
Michael had this to say:
“I have been with Dragonfly for over 15 years, working for them, riding for them, designing parts for them. It’s been
a very good time and I am very appreciative for all the support they have given me. I would not be where I am now
without them! But everything changes over time, and for me the time has come to walk a different path.
I will ride for Mankind Bikes as off now. The much liked Alive frame was the first Flatland product in the Mankind lineup,
with more to come in the second half of 2010. Mankind gave me the chance to design a signature Flatland frame. I am
happy to let you know my frame will feature the style and quality that all Mankind products are so well known for as well
as the functionality that I am looking for in every product I want to use.”
More news soon!
