Ever wonder exactly what goes into building a custom frame? I mean custom everything, down to the serial number… Apparently the must custom factor in this process is the guy doing the work… I think we are going to have to add “Have Rick Moliterno Cut, Sand, Polish and Prep Your Tubes” as a future option. Read below to see what Rick had to say about the whole project.
Benny just showed up to stay with us for a few days to escape his winter boredom in Minnesota. When he got here we just decided to build him a new frame and fork for his trail bike. It came out really cool. 21″ top tube. Mid bb with WAYSICKBRO as his serial number, “S” logo seat stay brace, straight 3/4″ seat and chain stays from the race bikes. Weighs 4 lbs. 2 oz. Love the color too! The fork is a new light but strong freestyle based version…it has a new prototype steer tube but with the race legs and dropouts.Rick

I always knew that Rick Moliterno was a badass of legendary proportions from a riding aspect, but after seeing this classic interview I see that he is one off the bike as well. From way back in 1997, Rick Moliterno spoke his mind and didn’t hold back on his thoughts reguarding the BMX media in Props 17.

This new Frame from the Standard byke machine shop is called the juke life which taz hernadez and rick m came up with and they are now at zeal bmx. Its super modern and built for the modern rider. it has a low stand over height compared to the other models sbc do and comes with no brakes 21″ long raw colour ready to paint if you want? has a strong rear end, one of the most noticeable features is the seat tube has no slit and is as low as the top tube ready for a slammed seat. you have to use a wedge style seat post though as seat clamps will not fit on this frame.
RRP is £379.99 which makes it the cheapest standard you can get your hands on in the uk.
Weight is 4lbs 12oz

This amazing new stem looks so clean and slick Are now in stock, it enables you to get rid of unsightly headset washers and dust cover also able to trim the fork steerer tube right down for maximum weight lose.

I dont think we can say enough about how bad ass P is… This is a great interview for a guy we can tell is a hard charger and a name you wont be able to get away from in the future. Classic style in the SBC mold, cool dude. We love to give heavy propers to our guys on this blog, but Phlandus is the real deal.
