Part of the UK Standard team /
family just got back from a road trip spending a few days at Standard HQ in
Davenport.
I know a lot of people are keen to see what Standard have been up to since
moving their whole operation "in house" last autumn so
here is a look around.....

After the long process of moving to
a new premises and kitting out the machine shop frames are now finally well into
production.

A few of us had a go on some of the
machines.... the attention to detail with jigs / setups to make sure every frame
is exact and of the
highest quality possible was very impressive.

Lots of new products are in the works too. See the prototype race fork (left)
along with super light top cap. A new lighter "freestyle" fork is
also getting worked on and tested right now.
Smaller, neater dropouts will feature on all the new frames. There were a few
sample dropouts and headtubes with bad ass engraving on them too!.
Later in the year there will be a ramp setup in the building which isn't done
yet.... (but with summer just around the corner and as the crew are
busy focusing on building the best bike parts possible I guess the ramps will
have to wait for now).

Rick and his new prototype frame.
Light, strong and a Standard. What more do ya need?
There it is.... Standard are here and stronger than ever!
